8 Major Tournament of BCCI for All Age Groups

Do you know all major tournaments of BCCI for all age groups?

Today we are going to talk about 8 major tournaments of BCCI for all age groups. Kids in India can start playing that tournament at the age of eleven or twelve under the age category of sixteen years.

All state’s board keep organizing league matches and making their own team for every league for all age categories. These matches are being played at the district level. If you are reading this article you can contact your district cricket association for further dates and details of these tournaments.

Here is the list of all major tournaments of BCCI for all age groups.

Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy are part of men’s senior category in all three formats of cricket that are Days, Limited overs and T20 respectively. We have already discussed  these tournaments in our last blog.

Col CK Nayudu Trophy

The tournament is being played under the age group of 23. The format of this tournament is multi-days. Better to say a kind of Test match.

One Day league and knock Out

The tournament falls under the age category of 23. It is a limited-overs format tournament.  One-day matches for under 23 age category.

Cooch Behar Trophy 

The tournament is a multi-day tournament for the age group of under 19 categories.

Vinoo Mankad Trophy 

The trophy is for the under 23 age group. The trophy is of limited overs. The trophy was named after Vinoo Mankad. 

Vijay Merchant Trophy

The last one in this series is Vijay Merchant Trophy for the under 16 age group and the tournament is a multi-day tournament. The trophy is named after Vijay Merchant. One of the most popular faces in Indian Cricket in its initials years of cricket.
