A Great News: Return of AB De Villiers to International Cricket

It is a great news: Return of AB De Villiers to International Cricket indicated by the director of South African Cricket Graeme Smith.

It is indeed a great news for the fans of AB De Villiers that he is going to start his stopped international career once again. Mr 360° is back to action. In June, the South African team will tour the West Indies, in which AB de Villiers can be seen playing.

AB announced his retirement on 23 May 2018 at the age of 34. The world of cricket got shocked with the news. He took retirement prior to the Cricket World Cup 2019 and it came like a shock not only for the Proteas but for everyone around the world. Fans were restricted to the you tube for his game or for some T20 Leagues which he plays.

Apart from a great modern batsman AB De Villiers is also en epitome of fielding. In fact he did his job quite well behind the wickets for Proteas and for Royal Challengers Banglore.

The news of AB’s return brought excitement once again. Hitting the ball in all direction and diving in air will be seen again if he is back to the action. There has been speculation about the return of South African veteran batsman AB de Villiers to international cricket for a long time. AB de Villiers himself also expressed his desire to play international cricket again for South Africa.

On Thursday, South African cricket director Graeme Smith has also given full indications of de Villiers’ return and it is believed that AB de Villiers can return to international cricket in June. South African coach Mark Boucher also indicated the return of de Villiers.

Graeme Smith announced on Thursday that the South African team will go on a tour of the West Indies next month.  South Africa will play two Tests and five T20 matches against the West Indies.  With the announcement of the tour, Smith hinted that AB de Villiers can once again appear in the South African jersey in the T20 series.  Apart from de Villiers, Chris Morris and Imran Tahir may also return to the team.

 Caribbean Cricket Podcast tweeted Graeme Smith’s statement.  According to the tweet, ‘Cricket South African Director Graeme Smith has confirmed the tour of South Africa to the West Indies.  According to Graeme Smith, the South African team will come to the West Indies in June for a series of two Tests and five T20 matches.

The decision on which stadium will be played in the match is yet to be decided.  At the same time, Smith said that he expected AB de Villiers, Imran Tahir and Chris Maurice to return.
